Levi Houapeu (born June 22, 1989 in Abidjan) is an Ivorian footballer who currently plays for the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer.

Houapeu moved to the United States with his parents, Therese and Emmanuel Houapeu, as a young child, settling in Germantown, Maryland. He attended Watkins Mill High School, was a member of the Maryland Olympic Development Program, and played club soccer for the Potomac Cougars, before going on to play college soccer at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County from 2007-2010.
He was named to America East Conference All-Rookie Team in 2007, and in his final two years at UMBC the Ivorian led the nation in points, scoring 30 goals and adding 17 assists. In 2009 he was named the ECAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Year, the America East Midfielder of the Year, was an ECAC First-Team All-Star, an NSCAA Second-Team All-Northeast Region honoree, a Second Team selection by Goal.com on their Teams of the Year, was UMBC’s Male Athlete of the Year, and won the national scoring title.
During his college years Houapeu also played with the Union USL Premier Development League affiliate Reading United, for whom he scored 5 goals in 8 appearances in 2010.[1]
On January 13, 2011, Houapeu was selected with the 41st overall selection of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by the Philadelphia Union.[2] He signed with the club on March 18, 2011.[3]
